Writing A Story
Does it make any sense to be good at essays and reviews but not at writing an actual story?
I’m a famed reviewer for my FanFiction site, and my teachers are convinced that I am a literary genius (judging by my essays).
But I’m no good at writing stories. I’ve got a lot of ideas for stories, but I have no idea how to excecute them. (Ano… I have a lot of plot-bunnies, but I just can’t seem to skin them.)
Is there something wrong with me?
Maybe you just need more practice writing stories. As everyone else has mentioned, they are a different kind of animal from a review. Write A Story, hash it out, get someone else to give you a really critical analysis, and come back to it. Keep working working, writing more stories. Don’t worry about failing, just keep writing.
