Can novel writing be made easy? Tips and advice
Novel writing made easy sounds like a misnomer doesn’t it. This is because at some point when you are trying To Write A Novel you are going to have to sit down and actually write at least 40,000 words (and that would be if you want to write a very short novel) which isn’t actually hugely easy. The problem with novel writing is that few people realise just how much planning, organisation, editing and simply re-writing goes in to a typical novel. They start writing without a clue as to what they should really be doing in the book let alone thinking about its marketability as a finished novel. So without further ado I present a quick list of novel (pun intended) hints, tips and advice to help you in your initial planning.

Tip 1) Practice your writing. This is the best piece of advice I can give you. Write as much as you can, work on your spelling, punctuation and grammar as nothing puts people off book proposals more than poor writing. Practice your sentences and make them lively and engaging.
Tip 2) Plan your novel. This is the most important advice if you are looking for novel writing to be easy. Whether you are writing a science fiction fantasy novel or a romance novel, you need to pin down your plot, AND your entire scenery before even writing a word. Starting with the plot you need to work out and write down every step of your plot, every intricacy and every single twist. This writing tip will make your actual writing a whole lot easier. With more Creative Writing you then need to map out everything that goes on around the central plot- are there alien races, sprawling mansions or an evil step sister? Map out all their characteristics so you know how they will behave in any given situation.

Tip 3) Ok so everything is beginning to take shape but we aren’t quite at the stage where we can write a novel yet. Step two however lets us begin writing as we need to test our characters in their scenes. Try writing about your characters in a certain situation and get the feel for how they would re-act and interact with each other in your Books world. This will let you adjust your characters to truly have a perfect match to you story.
Tip 4) Right ok our idea should be looking good by now so we can actually start writing our book, or books if you’re feeling bold. If you really want to make writing a novel easy, then you need to sit down every day and write it. I would start with a minimum of one hour every day sat down writing. Get your creative writing juices flowing and get cracking – do not under any circumstances leave your writing for more than one or two days or you will struggle to get back to it.
This covers the basic steps of novel writing and it will help you on your first tentative steps towards truly having novel writing made easy. I hope you enjoyed these creative writing tips, advice and tricks. Good luck with your creative novel writing I hope it’s at least a little easy for you.
