Creative Writing Colleges In New York
What are my chances of getting into my dream colleges?
My college choices are as follows:
-Emerson (#1 choice, dream school)
-University British Columbia-Vancouver
-Columbia College Chicago
-Academy of Art University-San Diego
-University North Carolina-Wilmington (In-state, last choice)
I want to major in screenwriting or Creative Writing
I have a 4.9 weighted and 3.9 unweighted
I am involved in the newspaper and numerous honor societies.
I direct the school plays as well as community theater.
I recently wrote a play that won a local scholarship and it will be performed next year at my school.
My school doesn’t offer many art classes, which I feel may hurt my application, I live in rural North Carolina =(
I want to get out of here so bad (I grew up in New York) and I really don’t want to go to college in NC. What do you guys think? If not any suggestions for other schools I can apply to?
have you thought about academy of art university? they have an amazing screenwriting program. it’s in san francisco, which is an awesome city. you will get in, they believe anyone with a passion for art and design should have the opportunity to study it. check it out.
