Storiad is an imperative tool for both writers and media professionals

Storiad is an online writer’s forum, which enables writers and media professionals to connect, share ideas, and even form business partnerships with exactly who they have been looking for all along. Storiad was created by a writer, with writers in mind. This networked marketplace serves as a place where writers can communicate and connect with each other, and enables them to solicit and receive valuable feedback on their projects. It also aids media professionals in narrowing down the search for the perfect, money-making writing project. This forum bridges the gap between a writer’s goals and hard work, and a media professional’s needs.

Storiad was founded by Ramzi, a writer himself. While pondering the issue of how difficult it is for an unpublished writer to be picked up by a Publisher, the idea of Storiad dawned on him. He began creating his online marketplace and community, with the goal in mind of enabling writers to converse and collaborate on projects. Storiad also enables writers to upload, describe, tag, and broadcast written projects, creating a wide-reaching online presence, and thus allowing writers to manage both the artistic and business aspects of their career.

Storiad is powered by membership fees, and is not reliant on ad-generated revenue. For the first 5,000 members who join, the membership is free. After that, it is necessary to maintain the quality and effectiveness of the sight to charge reasonable membership fees to each writer who joins. Storiad is also continuing to develop a comprehensive marketing campaign which will create a larger pool of options and greater exposure for members.

The concept behind Storiad may sound complex, but its ingenuity truly stems from its simplicity and intuitive ease of use. Storiad first allows writers to search and connect with other writers, to help develop current writing projects, or get ideas for the future. It then allows writers to market their written projects to prospective buyers by posting and tagging their written work to the Storiad database. On the business front, Storiad provides a online writers forum for media professionals to connect with other media professionals. Using advanced keyword search function, they can search for, categorize, and save written projects that writers have tagged and uploaded to the Storiad database. When they find a project that intrigues them, media professionals can then contact the authors.

Storiad provides members with ways to personalize their online workspace. Members create their own profiles, in which they can express who they are and what type of projects they create. This allows media professionals to see who the writer is at a glance, helping them narrow down their search and find the projects they are searching for.
